Nigel Walter is a chartered architect and founding director of Archangel. He was awarded a First class degree from Jesus College, Cambridge and, aside from 2 years in Pakistan, has since then worked in the Cambridge area for a variety of private, commercial and in-house architectural practices. With David Joy he won a Special Mention in the Europan 3 international architectural competition for their entry for Quarrata in Italy, leading to a commission for a large residential development. Nigel retains a key role in all projects, particularly in overseeing their design development. Richard Hackett (Consultant) has over 30 years experience in the commercial, church, education and residential sectors. In 2007 he merged his practice, Building Design and Management, into Archangel; he remains actively involved in the development of the combined practice, and in leading projects. Dirk Visagie (Project Leader) has qualified as an architect in South Africa, having studied in Bloemfontein; he joined the practice in 2005. Michal Kosicki (Project Designer) studied Architecture and Town Planning in Poznan (Poland) and Tilburg (Holland) to Masters level; he joined the practice in 2006. Batululi Gabosekegwe (Architectural Assistant) studied Architecture in Birmingham and Leeds. He first joined the practice in 2004 on his year out placement, and now has a permanent position; he is currently completing his professional qualification. Gyorgy Kovacs (Architectural Assistant) moves between the Cambridge Office and his native Hungary; he is a computer renderings specialist.
