Board Room

Offices, Bourn

This was one of a series of images produced for the refit of a standalone office building near Bourn in Cambridgeshire. This rendering shows the proposed Board Room.

Workshop Refit

Aqua Group, Swavesey

The existing industrial building comprised a metal workshop, garage workshop and stores. From the under-used first floor store area we are creating an office for a new business unit, comprising both open-plan and cellular offices, a Training Room, WCs etc. Alongside thermal insulation, acoustics were a significant concern; Archangel worked with an acoustics consultant to ensure a suitable working environment for the office areas.

Research Building

Spaceplanning and furniture. The entrance atrium creates a welcoming space for visitors, and provides break-out space for staff to meet. The design of the bench seating makes reference to antibody binding, central to this research organisation's field of operation. Lead architect for refit: Chapman Carvill Design

Office Refit

Cambridge Science Park

Refurbishment of a set of offices on the Cambridge Science Park. Along with new furniture and a refresh of the finishes, partitions were moved to rationalise the space, enabling each of the three teams to have their own area, while also encouraging creative interaction. A new reception area was created and brought as far forward towards the entrance, transforming the experience for visitors and staff alike.
