Community and CharitableThe success of a community project usually revolves around getting maximum value from what is often a very limited budget; and these projects often involve the transformation of a run-down building into a new and exciting facility. In common with churches, these projects need to work well both for those who use the building week in and week out, and those who visit for the first time. The featured project, a new branch of the Citizens Advice Bureau within the new Cambridge Advice Hub, has much in common with the retail sector, including clarity of branding and transparency of entry. Other projects shortly to be added to this section include a counselling centre and the refurbishment of a community centre. Each project in this section has sought to spend money wisely to create a high quality feel while ensuring it will stand up to long term wear and tear. |
